Girls U13 C2

  • The Chippewa Strikers U13 girls soccer team lost to Hudson 3-2 in the State Qualifier Tournament on Saturday morning in Cottage Grove, MN. The Strikers entered the tournament as the #3 seed and Hudson was the #2 seed. The Strikers defense was exceptional in the first half, covering the passing options and limiting the shots on goal. Hudson scored its first goal just before halftime in the 34th minute to lead at half 1-0. In the beginning of the second half, Hudson scored two more goals in the 38th minute and 48th minute of the game. The Strikers battled back with a goal from Haley Mason in the 61st minute of the game and an assist from centerback Annika Topritzhofer. Mason scored again at the 69th minute on a shot from the top of the box that went over the goalie's hands. The Strikers finished the season with an overall record of 10-5-3 and a league record of 3-4-3. We all look forward to another great season of soccer next spring!

  • The Chippewa Strikers U13 girls soccer team defeated Sporting St. Croix by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday night in Lakeland, MN.  Sporting St. Croix scored the first goal of the game on a shot from near the end line on the left side of the penalty box.  Haley Mason scored on a goal from 25 yards out that deflected off of the goalie’s hands to tie the game at 1-1 before halftime.  In the second half, Hannah Pynch scored two goals, with assists from Mason and Jada Curtis, to win the game for the Strikers.  With the win, the Strikers moved up one place in the standings to finish the regular season in third place in the East Division (out of seven teams), with an overall record of 10-4-3.  The Strikers will begin the State Qualifier Playoffs on Thursday, July 13.

  • The Chippewa Strikers U13 girls soccer team lost to White Bear Lake at Casper Park on Tuesday night.  White Bear Lake scored in the first minute of the game to take an early lead.  Then, the Chippewa Strikers struck back with two goals from Haley Mason to take a 2-1 lead into the half.  In the second half, White Bear Lake dominated possession and scored five goals to win the game 6-2.

  • The Chippewa Strikers U13 girls team defeated Eau Claire United at the Eau Claire Soccer Park on Wednesday night.  The Strikers led 1-0 at halftime with a goal by Haley. Hannah scored on a goal in the beginning of the second half, and Haley scored two more goals in the second half.  Haley and Liz each had one assist.  In the last minute of the game, Eau Claire United scored a goal to make the final score 4-1.

  • Strikers Tie Sporting Saint Croix

    The Chippewa Strikers U13 girls tied with Sporting Saint Croix at Casper Park on Monday night.  The Strikers got out to an early lead with two goals in the first half.  The first goal was scored by Haley with an assist from Ella.  The second goal was scored by Hannah with an assist from Haley.  Sporting Saint Croix came back to score two goals in the second half, scoring the second goal with only four minutes left in the game.  The game finished in a 2-2 tie.
